Training courses

Total Geo-Spatial Solutions (Pty) Ltd ("TGIS") hosts regular training courses at their training facility in Zwavelpoort, east of Pretoria (South Africa). The course runs over 3 days, usually during the first week of every month. If there is enough interest a second course will be organized the following week.

Topics covered are:

• PlanetGIS menus (buttons & functions)
• Creating features, styles & tables
• Printing (with floating objects)
• Editing functions (copy, move, join, union, rotate, translate, etc.)
• Importing & exporting GIS layers
• Thematic mapping
• Printing (with print frames)
• Practical exercise

The groups are kept small (6 persons maximum) to ensure optimal interaction between the lecturer and attendee. Computers are provided, but you are welcome to bring your laptop on which you will be able to do the hands-on training.

The cost is R1400 per person per day plus VAT, ie. R4788 per person. A non-refundable deposit of R1368 (incl VAT) per person is required upon registration.

Lunch will be provided at 13h00.

One-on-one training is also available at R500 per hour (minimum 4 hours) plus VAT and travel costs.
